Louisiana...Filling water tanks..leaks

Slow but sure, we will get on the road, for our trip. But first we need water in the holding tanks and the hot water heater put back together.

Craig replace the anode rod .

We used one of those adapters that fit a vacuum hose, they are used to clean you dryer vents or under a refrigerator. But we hooked it to a shop vacuum and added water thru the drain plug and sucked all of this out.
Wow
This has been done 4 or 5 times over the last 2 years. Wow, what does water do to us. Hope out pumping is self cleaning.

Everything went wrong, that is how it is with a motorhome. The 3 way valve used to hook the water hose too, is broke. Guess it froze. Craig rode to Dixie RV near Hammond, La. They did not have the part but could order it, cost $239.00. Sheesh, trip to Lowes and we have a temporary fix for just a few dollars. We will be in Goshen, IN in May for a Holiday Rambler maintenance rally and we will fix it then.

More problems but this is enough for now. Will tell later.

I love the RV lifestyle. Really I do

  1. RVing is fantastic, but I can empathize with the absurd cost of some specialty RV parts. And come now, let's be realistic: everything goes wrong only like, 75% of the time :-)
