KY...Condo problems

11:00 AM Picked up part for Condo

You may remember, last week we started the big Motor home and tried to hook the TOAD vehicle (Honda CRV) to it.

Well, we had big problems. The leveling jacks would not function. Can not move the rig with the jacks extended and this rigs air bags will not hold it up. After about 10 hours the air is gone and the rig is nearly on the ground.

We have RVA jacks, the company is in southern CA. Called and talked to Dennis. He was very patience. Discussed the jacks in a general matter. Dennis mentioned that Monaco, modified the jacks to only responded in the ACC position of the ignition key. We have had problems with the key slot moving. The dealer we purchase the Condo just blew this off as, no problem. But guess what, it has come back to bit us in the back side.

So we called Monaco, or is it Navistar, and asked about the key situation. They actually answer the phone. Wow. Called Monaco/Holiday Rambler several times over the last 2 years. We have found them very patience and helpful.

Tech said it sounded like we need a new ignition thingie. That is a easy 15 minute fix. The part is a NAPA part.

But Craig could not get the ignition out of the dash. Look and felt like it was coming out, but just wouldn't. Monaco tech said there is a trick and special tool needed. The special tool is a paper clip. Yep, a small pin hole next to the key is the trick. Punch the hole with the paperclip and out comes the above part. Boy oh boy we are getting so smart.

10:00 pm We have company

Craig was going to put the new ignition in tonight, but cooked supper instead. My friend whom I meet while volunteering at the fish hatchery, has come to visit. Craig cooked us supper. Am I the luckiest girl. Susan is going to stay in the Condo. She will be comfortable.

Do you remember the 80's amd Urban Cowboys!!! lol:)
