H'burg, Ky...Motorhome with Toad

11:00 PM At last the Honda will become our TOAD

Temps are suppose to be nice, so we will try to hitch the Honda CRV to the motor home.
February, we purchased the brackets, hitch and more, but with snow on the ground, we never tried it. Spending around $2,400.

So today is the day!!!! Started with the bar that attaches to the installed brackets on the Honda. Well, the instructions clearly state not to switch left to right, etc etc. Of course Craig had to use a wench and take the brackets apart and switch them to line up the connections.

Now remember, just because the car is attached to the motor home, doesn’t mean we will pull it down the road. Because this is what it looks like and this will not do. Car should be level with the motor home. Craig will call Roadmaster for help.

The Condo (motor home) is wedged into the drive behind the house. With Craig’s guidance it came right out. But we had a problem. The level jacks would not retract. Sheeesh, out comes the box of books and papers related to the motor home. All RV’s have the same binder of papers.

Got the air pressure up by starting the engine, didn’t work. Tried running the generator, no good. Plugged it back to shore power, no go.

One of the books stated the hydraulic pump was located next to the generator on the passenger side and has a in-line fuse. Found that and replaced the fuse. Still, nothing.

After about 30 minutes of pushing buttons and changing fuse, it started working. Who knows why.

Parked the Condo back in the drive. Of course the level jacks would not extend. Not good, but after more pushing of buttons and it started working.

Tomorrow is another day!!!!!
